They say, “You can take the person out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the person.”
It is also this longing for favourite food from “home” that inspired John Marsden to start his company Bacon by the Box in 2010. In the early days, the business served only Normandy and Brittany, but then distribution expanded to the rest of the west coast and further south. All the deliveries, made every two weeks, were done by John himself. With increased demand and success the need arose to cater further afield and to increase frequency of deliveries. Moving to Ireland gave Bacon By The Box access to the finest produce from Ireland and the popular British brands also available in the retail network.
We only work with top quality producers who consistently provide products of a high standard. These suppliers include Clonakilty, Mogerley Pies, McColgan’s and Lisduggan Farm Foods.
We strive to offer the experience of shopping with a local Artisan Butcher. Here you should be able to pick up the necessary for Breakfast Dinner and Tea as well as products for special occasions and treats.
Bacon by the Box’s product offering includes an array of fresh meat and dairy products, as well as a wide range of pantry products. New products are regularly added to the website. Vegetarian and vegan items are also available in our catalogue.
