Preparation and Usage

Mixing InstructionsPlace 60ml. of warm water in a clean bowl, then add one pack of Gem Instant Royal Icing.Mix slowly at first then beat at full speed for 5-6 min – until the icing forms stiff peaks. Beat in a further teaspoon of water if softer texture is required.If desired, add a 1/4 teaspoon of glycerine to prevent the icing over-hardening.Royal IcingIt’s not just for cakes!Our royal icing is perfect for Christmas and fruit cakes but that’s not all.Make a soft and creamy icing that’s perfect for decorating biscuits and cupcakes. Just add water (teaspoon at a time) and beat/whisk at a high speed until it is soft and creamy.Piping Tips:Don’t have a piping bag? Use a zip-lock freezer bag. Simply cut to the size required, fill with icing and voila!Practice your piping technique on parchment paper. When you are finished practicing simply scrape off the icing and use it again.
